Okay thanks for the tip the stored proc works great but now i seem to have a problem in calling it

if I put in a simple button and attach the call to the controller from ther this works fine - like so

 Protected Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
            Compliance_Assistance_ProgramController.RCI_CAP_ReorderQuestions(1, 3)
            'Get our info
            GridDataBind()
        End Sub

but if I put this same code in a rowcommand for a gridview is doesnt work - heres code

Private Sub gvCAPQuestions_RowCommand(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewCommandEventArgs) Handles gvCAPQuestions.RowCommand
            Try
                Compliance_Assistance_ProgramController.RCI_CAP_ReorderQuestions(1, 3)
                Response.Write("good<br>")
                'Get our info
                GridDataBind()
            Catch exc As Exception    'Module failed to load
                ProcessModuleLoadException(Me, exc)
            End Try
        End Sub

Can you - or anybody tell me why
