I'm looking for a DNN solution to the following scenario:

We want new users to be able to register on the site, but only allow their user accounts to be activated after they pay their membership fees.  Is there a way to streamline and integrate new registrations with some form of payments feature (shopping cart component maybe)?

At first glance, we wanted to use the buy now feature from Google Checkout which doesn't require the user to purchase a shopping cart.  However, there is a bit of a "disconnect".  Because we need to conditionally redirect the user to a payment type form if (s)he hasn't paid their membership fees.  If they have then they will be granted access and allowed into the members only area.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.
