Custom CDNs entered in Host Settings no longer work. (DNN 7.2.0)

I started testing the new release and discovered that DNN is completely bypassing the custom URLs that are entered as CDN's in the host settings.
After looking at the source code, it's inserting an additional inline script that has google CDN's hardcoded when the new use JavaScript CDN's checkbox is enabled.
Is this by design? Everything was working wonderfully in 7.1.x.
