I refreshed my views in 3 different FTP apps and still have the same problem. What's even more strange is that the file was there before and I had been working with them up until they magically disappeared.

If you created the folder in File Manager as a "Secure - Database" folder it would NOT show up via FTP.  You might check on the type of folder.

Ah ... good catch on a possible solution, Mitch. I have been puzzling on this since Geo's response, but since I couldn't think of anything to say ... I didn't. (for a change)

Yeah, Geo ... a "secure database folder" isn't really a folder at all, you just interface with the database by means of the file manager and use it like a folder - via DNN, that is. But not otherwise!

OK. I've selected the "empty" directory and clicked on synchronize files. Nothing. I selected the recursive option and clicked on snychronize files. Nothing. I've gone to the portal root and tried it all, the files are not showing up in DNN, but I've verified via FTP that the files are on the server. I haven't tried standing on my head and clicking three times, but what does it take to get DNN to refresh its database? As a side bunny trail, what does the separate "refresh" option do?

File Manager has some built-in file limit or I wouldn't worry about FTP. Sigh. Is there any way to change this built-in limit?

Is there any way to keep File manager from contracting all file folders and only displaying the portal root everytime that we click on something? Just wondering.

Dan, be aware, that DNN file manager an ADMIN menu recognizes files inside portal home directory only (by default /portals/0 or /portals/1, depending on the portal id.
