Thanks for the reply.

1. I can create the pages/blocks, but how do I get rid of the hard coded links in the default theme?

2. Where do I make the code change to hard code the https?

You don't have to hard-code the urls if you create a new page.  You could just set the Secure flag in the Page Settings.  Here's a tutorial on how to setup SSL in 4.5.4+

To change the links you need to modify your skin, or you could do it with my Free PageBlaster module.

Here is a tutorial that is not exactly what you are doing, but it shows how to change the links in your output using PageBlaster:

I've installed a cert on my web server and done the necessary DNN setup.  Everything appears to work fine.  Do you know what encryption level it is running at (128bit?) and/or is there a way to confirm it?

The encryption strength used depends on a number of factors including the certificate, the server operating system, and the client browser.

Most certificates support up to 256 bit, but the actual encryption used will most likely be 128 bit encryption due to the browser capability and it could be even lower.

If you need at least 128 bit encryption then you can enforce this using IIS settings on your website.

Thanks for your reply!!  If I use the IIS 'require 128-bit' feature, won't it be required for all DNN portals, all pages?
