How do I enable SSL? I am using DNN 4.4.1. Is SSL only avaiable in 4.5.1??

Thanks,

ssl at a granular level (i.e. module/page) is only available in 4.5.4 and above. In prior versions if you wish to use ssl you have to run the entire site under SSL, or else use a 3rd party ssl module.

You don't need a third-party module to secure a single page.  Here's a trick to do it with

You could also create a special skin that checks the protocol and does the switch with a redirect.

I see where to enable SSL on the site in the admin side and on new pages that are created.  But, how do I change the link for "register" and "login" to use ssl?

You can create new pages for those and put the Account Login and User Account modules on them.

It's also even better for performance if you stop using the user and login skin objects and just hard-code thos links to go directly to https://
