My forum has lost the "New Thread" option.  Even when logged in as a registered user, I do not get this option....or get the option to reply to a thread.  We recently upgraded DNN to 4.5.  Anyway, any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Ron

Is it possible that somehow the edit permissions on the module were reset? Users need to have edit permissions on the module to be able to add new posts

The permission setting seem to be correct.  however, now there's another issue to go along with the current one: Getting a critical error on the forum homepage:

http://www.svug.org/Forum/tabid/57/Default.aspx

The error message says:

A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Is there anyway to get past the error screen and fix whatever going on here?

This forum module is quite frustrating at times.

Thanks for your help!

It looks like it's gonna get a bit technical. Hmm,...

Have you checked the event viewer to see if there any messages for the forum? This should generate some kind of error i would say

You said that you've recently upgraded to DNN version 4.5.  What is the version you have upgraded from?

Which version of the forum are you using anyway?

Marc
