You'll need to create database on the server, then create a user and give that user rights to the database. Once done, add the proper information to the connection strings in the web.config file.

Hi Jeff, I appreciate you taking the time to add a thread to my appeal for help but I didnt find it much help at all.  Obviously my first port of call has been to read through and follow the documentation that I have - have also followed online tutorials but am still getting the same error messages.  Obviously I have missed something.  I am new to DNN so cannot say that I was not expecting some problems.  Would appreciate some contructive help if you have any - or anyone else reading for that matter.  I have tried to put all the required information in my previous threads.

It's possible that your connection string is commented out.  Can't tell from the little snippet posted.
