Hello,

I am still new to DNN and am currently trying to fix an issue with an older version that cannot be upgraded at this time. Any help would be appreciated.

Database: SQL Server 2005 Express
DotNetNuke: Version 4.3.7 PA

Originally "Friendly URLS" was not enabled and in an attempt to resolve some other search issues, I enabled it and now am unable to get anywhere other than the home page. If I click on "Login" from my home page, I am simply redirected to the same screen. If I attempt to use any of the Navigation locations on the menu. I receive page cannot be displayed. Please see the information below.

 1. Go to http://local-Site.int/Default.aspx
2. Select "About US" from the menu
3. I am now directed to http://local-Site.int/intranet/AboutUS/tabid/135/Default.aspx and get the 404 error.

If I type the original URL http://local-Site.int/Default.aspx?tabid=135 the page works fine.

If I click on Login on the same page I am directed to http://local-Site.int/AboutUS/tabid/135/ctl/Login/Default.aspx and the 404 error again.

As I am unable to login and navigate to the Host, I attempted to disable Friendly URLS through the SQL Server using the following:

UPDATE HostSettings
SET SettingValue = 'N'
WHERE SettingName = 'UseFriendlyUrls'

One record was change but this did not resolve the issue.

Thanks in advance.

Try "touching" the web.config file to force an app restart.

Hello Tom,

Thank you for the reply. At the time i made the post, I had to hold off on restarting the IIS on the server. Once this was done everything seems to be ok. Thank you again for the quick response.
