One of the goals for DNN Corp is

"to ensure that DotNetNuke becomes the defacto standard for building web applications"

If we look at one of the competitor umbraco.org/documentation there is a piece to go....

Who is kidding who?

One of the efforts to get funding has been through the sale of DNN documentation:

However, all of that information can be found in the online help section of the website as well.  I don't use it, but I think it's just as comprehensive.  It just is not as convenient to "thumb" through.

Will,

please note, that Lorraine is not employed or connected to DNN Corp. She creates and maintains the DNN documentation as core team member on her own -  and tries to get some refund for all the time she invests by selling the PDF version.

Please note, that you cannot compare DNN and Umbraco - the second one is a European product ;)

:)  Hey don't tell DNN Corp, but did you notice that the server license for that product you love with the great docs (Umbraco) is about $6,000 USD?  Oh and by the way you can't use the free version of Umbraco at all if you want to remove the Umbraco branding so they force you to buy the license for most serious work.

I think we need to give DNN Corp a bit of a break on the $2,000 Pro Version and some of the warts they need to work on like Docs.  These forums are great IMO and better than any book or docs.  It seems every time I have an error I can find the answer here and how many times have you really used the professional manuals for all the software in your office?  Sometimes the professional manuals are not really that useful other than an overiew when you are just getting started.  Often the 3rd party books are actually much better.
