Hello everyone. Incredibly noobish question once again.

Upon initial compilation of the DNN 4.9.3 install package i get a compilation error in line 68 of the Global.asax.vb file.

The error states that the name 'Config' is not declared.

Any suggestions to possible solutions on this one?? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Here's the detailed error message. Please help me guys. I've renamed the release.config file to web.config, did the whole aspnet_regiis -u and -i, and still the error persists. Could it be that the new connection strings are formatted wrong?

Server Error in '/emviportal' Application.

Hello and good day,

I've tried your suggested solution to no avail. I have also executed the aspnet_regiis -u and aspnet_regiis -i commands in an a desperate attempt to solve the problem. But still it persists.

What could be the other causes for such an error? I am genuinely stumped and the progress on my project has come to a standstill.

I have also checked and double checked all related settings such as the ones in my IIS and the folder permissions. Could the connection strings i set in the web.config file be the culprit? I beleive this is unlikely since the application halts before the installation.

Thank you for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated.
