Ok thanks for confirming that. I'll mess with it further and see what I can come up with.

Hi Rob,

I'm experiencing the same issue with a DNN v4.08.02 installation. Did you find a solution in the end?

Cheers, Gavin

Just found a work-around for my case... I added another language, then I was able to delete the problematic one.

Hi Gavin,

No I never sorted it out. I ended up going through every single portal and disabled langauge detection and the two additional language I had enabled, so that I was sure it wasn't holding onto them because they were in use somewhere, but even then it wouldn't let me remove them. I'm reluctant to add another language, but I am setting up a duplicate test portal tonight so I'll try it out on that.

I'll post back what happens.

Rob

Well I followed my own nose again a bit furher and figured it out.

In folder App_GlobalResources I deleted all Locales.Portal-xx.xml files, and replaced the three remaining Locales.* files with ones from a fresh DNN install.zip

Now all portals are back to normal. For all I know it may still not let me delete a language but it doesn't matter because there aren't any.

Rob
