For what it is worth, I two had the same issues described, but Roger Selwyn’s post on 11/28/2009 03:13am fixed me.

Guys,

I just downloaded the Upgrade 5.2 package and upgraded my site from 5.1 to 5.2. The Upgrade process went well and all was SUCCESS.

But when i access my Host Settings, i got the following error :

Error: Host Settings is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: C:\MegaNet\DesktopModules\Admin\HostSettings\HostSettings.ascx.vb(309): error BC30198: ')' expected. ---> System.Web.HttpCompileException: C:\MegaNet\DesktopModules\Admin\HostSettings\HostSettings.ascx.vb(309): error BC30198: ')' expected. at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.CompileWebFile(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.ControlUtilities.LoadControl[T](TemplateControl containerControl, String ControlSrc) at DotNetNuke.UI.Modules.ModuleHost.LoadModuleControl() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

other than this error, everything else seems to be working

i checked all the replies in this post and everything seems to be in order with my web.config file. ANY IDEAS ???

Thanks

Clement
