* DNN 495 community auto install
* Upgrade to DNN521 community.
* Folders C:\Cache\Modules get created when you click "Click here to access your portal" (very odd!). So I can reproduce this.

Thanks for recreating Alex. Out of interest - are there any files in that folder?

It doesn't get created on mine (Dedicated server at PowerDNN) - it must not have perms to do so... I wonder if I should create it in the root... suppose so ;)

I don't get any files in there. I changed performance settings - nothing... yes I'm wondering if .NET is attempting to create files in that folder.... - not getting any other errors. I'm amazed the folders got created there from an ASP.NET application outside of IIS path.

I can also confirm some of this. I just upgraded from 4.9.5 to 5.2.2 two days ago and have seen similar event error messages. I do not see any c:/ folder additions on my PowerDNN server, or any similar vhost folder additions . I do see <portal>/cache/modules folders in all portal directories except _default which has an /cache/OPML folder. In the <portal>/cache/modules folders I do see newly created cache files.

Now this is odd ... my error log today shows 13 hours of  "Scheduler Event Failure" every 30 seconds, then after 13 hours, additional related Scheduler Exceptions and General Exceptions start showing for an hour, then suddenly no more errors. I made no changes.

Hope that helps .. looking for a cure too unless of course it just fixed itself ?!?

Next day follow-up to previous post .. no more errors! I can only surmise that because our server is co-managed by PowerDNN, that perhaps they noticed the errors and repaired the cause. Odd but happy!

Now if I can figure out how to fix the wrong path for small page icons for admin and host menus, then I'll be really happy! Another 4.9.5 > 5.2.2 upgrade problem.
