The bug isn't fixed in 5.2.2, I believe it is fixed in 5.2.3.

I've not seen this reproduce during 5.2.3 testing and I ran it from 1 seocnd Frequency up to 7 days.

The sites I've used have 4 or 5 page and > 20 modules installed total.

Can I get some help with this from the Community?

What 3rd party modules are loaded on the sites that experience this error?

What do you have PurgeModuleCache set to run at? Need to know the Frequency and Retry Time Lapse values.

Also, do you have any other Scheduled item that runs directly before or after or at the same time as PurgeModuleCache?

How much traffic do your sites generally get? dozens, hundreds, thousands of users per day?

Finally, what account(s) have you set on your web folder(s) and what permissions have you set?

Thanks much;

What 3rd party modules are loaded on the sites that experience this error? The only 3rd Party Modules are: Ultra Video Gallery 3, and Effority User Directory

What do you have PurgeModuleCache set to run at? Need to know the Frequency and Retry Time Lapse values.  See below

Also, do you have any other Scheduled item that runs directly before or after or at the same time as PurgeModuleCache?

I've never messed with the Scheduled item defaults (that I recall) because I don't really know how to use them.  Here's a pasted table:

Name Enabled Frequency Retry Time Lapse
Purge Users Online Enabled  Every 1 Minute  Every 5 Minutes
Purge Site Log   Every 1 Day  Every 2 Hours
Purge Schedule History Enabled  Every 1 Day  Every 2 Days
Purge Log Buffer Enabled  Every 1 Minute  Every 5 Minutes
Send Log Notifications   Every 5 Minutes  Every 10 Minutes
Search Engine Scheduler Enabled  Every 24 Hours  Every 24 Hours
Purge Cache   Every 2 Hours  Every 30 Minutes
DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventNotification, DotNetNuke.Modules.Events Enabled  Every 1 Hour  Every 30 Minutes
DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.StartEmailQueuedTasks, DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum   Every 1 Minute  Every 1 Minute
DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.CleanupEmailQueuedTasks, DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum   Every 1 Day  Every 1 Day
Purge Module Cache Enabled  Every 1 Minute  Every 30 Seconds

How much traffic do your sites generally get? dozens, hundreds, thousands of users per day?

Dozens at most.  Mostly used as a small "intranet"

Finally, what account(s) have you set on your web folder(s) and what permissions have you set?

I'm not sure what you mean?  I have 3essentials hosting and can ask them to double-check permissions if I know what to ask them... but this wasn't a problem in the event log in the past till I upgraded to 5.2.2 and I didn't change anything with permissions.
