I am looking for a way how to create custom multi-line tooltips for certain words on my website. A very good free javascript library which I used before on non-DNN sites was overLIB - see http://www.bosrup.com/web/overlib/ for a demo of what I mean. Now I don't know what is the best way to achieve the same effect on DNN sites: should I try to load overLIB with DNN pages, or is there a tooltip module for DNN...?

I think that's done more at the html editor level - perhaps you could search for scripts that allow you to do this, but also don't conflict in the html editor (that might be hard) Or perhaps a module might have to be written - and this is a cool idea.

OK, so if I now try to use the above mentioned Java script library (overlib.js), how should I ensure that it is loaded with each page where I need it?
Should I use the HTML/Text module on each such page, and in it something like
<script type="text/javascript" src="overlib.js"></script>
or is there a better method how to include a Java script library in a DNN portal?

if it's only needed on specific pages then go to Page Settings and enter the link to the script in the Page Header Tags field.

You can't really inject alot of JS into the html editor. You can try - but I spent 1 hour with client who was convinced that he had a  DUD DNN build because he literally brought the server to a halt when adding in modules on the front page of his site..

It took me a while then I checked out how he had added this fancy calculator to the front of his site, and it was this huge JS calculator code dropped into the Text/HTML editor and while it worked, of sorts, it appeared to wreak havoc on the the rest of the page functionality.

So it appears that you can add some JS but not sure how it will behave.

Have you tried to add this locally and see how you go?
