What is the exact name of the "page" file(s) that you modified and what tools did you use to make the modifications?

I've met this case several time before.
In my experience, if you only need run this copied DNN web then you need change portal alias in database (Portal table).
If you need use or rebuild the code then you need change further in .proj and .webinfo file

Let try to modify the PortalAlias of Portal 0 in PortalAlias table in database to an appropriate value.
You can use SQL Server 2005/2000 to connect to database file to do this.

If you want modify and rebuild the copied code, you must change old url to old website found in DotNetNuke.proj, web.info, ...
