Doh! I think I need a moist towelette to remove the mud from my face...

Is it to late to retract my previous comment?

I still think the DNN wiki is a good idea. Perhaps, if the community feels the need to have a ranking system for those that answer questions, we could get the Wiki developer to incorporate that feature, if it isn't already there.

Does anyone know if the wiki can be integrated into the DNN forums? For instance, if there is a question on the forum, it gets answered and the community feels that it is the proper answer, it could get moved to the wiki by selecting a couple parameters, such as the page within the wiki?

Just trying to think outside the box ...

Herb, With the current wiki, I think more needs to be done to give authors credit. Even if it's just making the author names link to their profile. People are more likely to add to the wiki if they'll gain something out of it, whether it be SEO benefit or people viewing their profile. As far as the StackExchange, I assure you that the folks that have been driving the DNN StackExchange effort truly have the best interest of DNN in mind. If an equivalent solution can be created that runs under DotNetNuke.com, I'm sure the majority of folks will support that effort over StackExchange. We need a better Q&A format for DNN. The discussion has been started thanks to Will and now, we need to find the ideal solution.

@David -

So, what other implementations do you think would work as a solution to the current issue?

Couldn't a Wiki poster add their name to their post, or even better yet, in the footer of the Wiki page add their name to the references area? Currently, when the DNN newsletter comes out it displays who has made the most posts in the forum, couldn't the Wiki provide the same information?

@David, @Herb - We are actually just about ready to rollout a program that will provide community recognition for Wiki entries.  Expect to see more about this in the next couple of weeks.
