sitelog has been ripped out of DNN 8 and should no longer been populated.
You may run TRUNCATE TABLE SiteLog to remove previously existing records.

Thank you for your reply Sebastian, but unfortunately I'm not sure on what your response is. Will you please elaborate on what you suggestive I do in complete details.

do you have database access using SQL Server Management Studio?
if yes, what does report "Space used by larget tables" return?
if sitelog still contains a significant number of records in DNN 8 or later, you may clear it easily by running the following statement in Host > SQL:
TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}.[{objectQualifier}SiteLog].

I found some documentation for DNN9 that might be helpful in this case.
First, I use this to find things in the new persona bar. It is a chart that shows the old commands and where they have moved in the new DNN version:

Hello

Does this mean that there is no scheduler available to clean event viewer logs in dnn8?
Or are we talking about site log statistics only?
