When you say install DNN directly, I did upload the DNN folder to the site and then used the URL (http://webiage.com/DotNetNuke%AE%20Community%20Edition/), per the instructions, to install it. Not clear on what other approach to installing DNN that you are suggesting. DiscountASP says they provide no support for DNN. All they have is their user forum where I've received no response to my posted situation with the install.
I did use the Microsoft Web Installer Platform to initially load DNN onto my PC. Then I uploaded DNN to my hosted site at DiscountASP and ran the URL listed above. Should I use a different method then this?
Thanks for hanging in here with me, David
