Workaround that solved this problem for me was: I changed the Control Panel (Host -> Host Settings -> Other Settings) from "Controlbar" to "Ribbonbar".


 

This worked for me, C'mon guys, lets get that menu fixed!

It's not the menu.  It's a services layer problem that looks to be caused by some type of IIS configuration.

The reason the old menu works is because it doesn't use the services layer.

Incredible flasponge !!!! It solves my problem as well !!!!....... Thanks a lot. That's strange that some new feature of DNN 7 creates problem. Is it possible to solve it ? Should we report it through a Gemini ticket ???

Putting newtonsoft.json.dll back in to the bin directory worked for me as well. For some reason it was missing. Hope that helps someone.
