Hi, I just upgraded to DNN 7.1.2, and notice that the information (help) link next to items in the admin and host pages doesn't work - nothing happens when I click on it. I'm talking about the littlegray circle with an "i" in it...

Anybody know why this would not work?

Hello Tom;

Could you please do a "View Source" on the page where this misbehavior occurs?

Do a "Find" for  lblHelp OR dnnHelpText

You should see dozens to hundreds of found entries for either label...

They would be formatted like this:

<div class="dnnFormHelpContent dnnClear">
<span id="dnn_ctr327_HostSettings_plProduct_lblHelp" class="dnnHelpText">The application you are running</span>
<a href="#" class="pinHelp"></a>
</div>

 

 

From which DNN version did you upgrade?

Any errors in the log.resources file or the Event Log within the site that point to the lblHelp or dnnHelpText failing?

I upgraded from 5.0.3 (very old). There is no lblHelp or DNNHelp, though there is a CmdHelp , and the link looks like this.

Did you upgrade directly from 5.0.3 to 7.1.2 or follow the recommended upgrade path:

Did you upgrade directly from 5.0.3 to 7.1.2 or follow the recommended upgrade path:

 and if you are using some 3rd party/custom registration/login stuff, you should even add a step at 6.1.5 and disable it.
