Hi,

I'm running a 7.00.03 site and today I changed the primary alias for the site. I read something about sitesettings not displaying the correct sitemap url, but thats the least of my problem. Since the change of the default alias, a sitemap.aspx request generates a blank xml file, so no pages present. Did my cache clearing, restarts etc, but no luck. If I request the sitemap.aspx url for any of the aliases, the xml file stays empty. I only see the xml opneing tag  and urlset tag, but no pages. Sitemapprovider and all other settings for sitemap are defaulted.

anybody a tip?

thx!

There is a separate sitemap cache under Portals/{{PortalId}}/Sitemap/sitemap.xml. It is possible that this file got created with no content for some erroneous reason. This file cache has an expiry of 24 hrs I think, but if you delete it - it will re-generate.

Hi Charles,

that wasn't the problem. I was only able to solve it by setting the minimum priority to 0 in the SE settings. In al the pages in the site was nothing changed for the sitemap priority. As I said, I only added a alias domain. Can't figure out what one has to do with the other, but at least there a xml sitemap agein.

Thx!
