I deleted the default user profile pages, and made my own, with my own layout of modules.

I DO have a messages page, and it contains the message center module, but when I click the check messages button or check notifications button next to my user name (default gravity skin), I do not go to the messages page, but instead just the default user profile page.

How do I link the two buttons, to take me to the correct page that contains my message center module?

AFAIK there is no page to be specified for messages in Admin > SiteSettings, that's why it is linking to Profile page. you should raise a feature request in Community > Participate > Communty Voice on this site.

The oddest thing - when I posted this question/problem it wasn't working. Now a couple hours later it works fine.
