My goal was not to convince you that you should use our module, but I don’t agree with your position that there is no alternative for PA. There are at least a few quality modules on the market that can be used for the same purpose.

It is our business model and it is not something that want to discuss on the forum. However, we provide customization services what is faster and cheaper because our developers are very familiar with the code and functionalities of the modules. At best, your customization can be included in the regular version and you will preserve the possibility to upgrade the module in the future.

Actually, the module has very advanced granular permissions. You can set up permissions per categories. Permissions per article are supported as well.

Conditional custom field expression in the templeates
There is such possibility.
VPA is Fully templeated, in EDN for example are missing templates for photo gallery, contact form, print, search etc...
The layout is fully templatable, but for some things we use different solutions. Only the template for the contact form and print are missing. For the contact form there is no template because the form is not embedded in a page, but it opens in a modal window and it does not affect the layout of the page. The print template does not exist because there is an integrated print button and the print output is managed by CSS. The module currently has 9 professional themes with a variety of templates. You only need to add the module on the page, select a theme and template and the look of the module is ready. If you want to adjust it, you can use our StyleWizard module (free with EasyDNNnews module) and adjust all the styles without digging into CSS. This can save you a lot of time.

You can display categories on different pages and an instance of the module on every page can have its own layout. Basically, you can have unlimited number of instances of the news module on your site and every instance can display what you want, to whom you want and it can looks like you want.

EasyDNNnews has its own URL provider for the core DNN URL rewritter. Our provider manages only links of the news module. The results are clean links without any parameters.
