When Upgrading from 3.2.3 to 3.3.5 I'm having an issue.  After copying all of the files over from the 3.3.5 installation to the 3.2.3 and making the correct changes to the web.config file I accessed my website and the upgrade script ran successfully with no errors.

When I clicked the link 'Click here to access your portal' I got an error on my webpage.  It just says an Error has occured.  In the link of the web address I have the following:

DNN/Default.aspx?error=Object+reference+not+set+to+an+instance+of+an+object.&content=0

Has any came across this or can point me in the right direction to why this is occuring?

Thanks,

-Scott

If you click on the home link do you still get the error? Can you try logging in as HOST and checking your log viewer to see if there is a more specific error?

I don't even get to the Home page.  If you want to see what I'm looking at please go to this link. http://s139382612.onlinehome.us/dnn

I had the same results when trying to upgrade my DNN 3.2.2 installation to 3.3.4

updated the files, edited the web.config script, everything seemed to run fine, but then got a error when trying to access the portal. I rolled back to the original version (reinstalled to old DB tables, pulled in all the old DNN files) and that came up again just fine.

I have put off a second attempt until I can find out some more about the problem. Now the upgrade would need to be to 3.3.5, and I have been seeing comments about problems with the File Manager in that release.

I am eager to see what error messages you might have when logged in, or even if you can log in.

Unfortunetly I can not even log in to see what error messages I'm receiving.  I want to avoid going backwards with my installation.  I thinking I'll try upgrading to 4.x and ASP.Net 2.0 tonight if I don't get any more feedback and see if I can get better results.  I glad to hear that this has happened to someone else and I'm not alone.
