Hi

I'd appreciate a statement from Shaun Walker about the status of all the calls logged in Gemini. It appears the vast majority of issues are being ignored, not being dealt with or just not being redirected.

The situation is getting rather silly. People are putting the effort in but are receiving no response.
Is DNN dying? What is going on?

Many thanks

Alex

other people would like to know -- why not just respond here?

My 2 cents

It's been three years now since I registered at this site, I've seen a lot of progress over that time. I've also evaluated a lot of alternatives in that time, if you want a MS framework thats free, open and extensible it can't be beat.

I found the recent Projects related posts in the Blog to be encouraging. It appears that issues are being addressed in that arena.

4.4 looks to be a major release. I'm happy to tag along and I hope to find a way to contribute this year.

I think the DNN project is brilliant. Don't get me wrong. 4.4 looks like an exciting release as well, so once again, thanks for all your efforts. It is absolutely fantastic.

I just have a bugbare with the management of Gemini at the moment. Even if the bugs are being dealt with, the perception is that they aren't. Some bugs or very necessary tasks/enhancements seem to hang around for ever. A lot of issues in the public forums obviously need to be redirected to other areas of Gemini, but they just hang around. Some issues can be closed because they are not relevant. Other calls you need probably need more info but it is rarely flagged up.

My point is that Gemini needs managing. Issues need to be validated, and be placed in the appropriate task list and dealt with. It's all a matter of perception really.

Shawn thanks for the post, I will email you in the new year.

Cheers

Alex
