Hello,

In the DDN Installation Wizard, I'm getting the below error and I'm able to connect fine with SQL Client and Test.UDL

My Connection String looks like below and Database is Remote Server. Appreciate your help !!

Thanks

<connectionStrings>

    <add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Server=ABC1;Database=ABC2;uid=ABC3;pwd=ABC4;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

</connectionStrings>

<appSettings>

     <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=ABC1;Database=ABC2;uid=ABC3;pwd=ABC4;"/>

</appSettings>

Please make sure, you installed and enabled TCP/IP protocol for both, SQL server and client.
If SQL Server is installed on a different machine, you'll need to enable remote connections.

PS: if SQL Server Express is instealled, default instance name is ABC1/SQLExpress.
You need to create your database manually and grant dbowner permission to the windows account to be used (configured in advanced settings of the IIS App Pool)

Hello Sebastian,

I'm able to connect  Remote SQL server from Client Server with other clients ( Here, SQL Management Studio). I have also verified TCP/IP is enabled.

Still the issue exists.

Thanks

Ranjith Eaga

Hello Sebastian,

It is SQL Server 2008 R2 Yes, I have created new database and user and gave DB_Owner access. I have added IIS App Pool to .NetNuke Install website folder and gave full access.

But, where should I mention DB user in IIS App Pool Advanced Settings, I haven't read anything about it, could you please provide link or steps related to it. I might be missing related to it.

Thanks

Ranjith Eaga
