Hello - my aplogies if this is posted already.  I searched and didn't find anything but feel free to refer me to a link if an answer exists.

I'm currently running a DNN 3.3.7 instance on a dedicated server at say www.mydomain.com.  I'm wanting to test out DNN 4.4.1 on the same server and created a new website in IIS using port 8082 as an example.  I uploaded the 441 codebase, set the permissions and navigated to the page at www.mydomain.com:8082.  Installs fine.  The problem?  When I go to click "login" or any other dynamic link it renders it without the port number sending me to my original site.

Is this a known issue in 441 or have I done something wrong?  Any thoughts much appreciated.

Thanks,

Erik

You might have a look at the values in the portal alias table.  Ensure that the port number is included in the portal alias.  You can see if that works.

Hi Erik,

You'll need to include the element <add key="UsePortNumber" value="True" /> in the <appSettings> node of your web.config file.  This flag will enable the port-parsing code in the urlRewrite httpmodule and allow the behavior you're after.

Your final httpalias will look something like:

localhost:30000

Hope this helps!

Thank you both for the replies.  Adding the extra key did the trick!  Thank you so much.
