Hello,

I am having a problem running my site.  Somehow I can access it normally through Mozilla Firefox 2, but when trying to access it through Internet Explorer 7, I get an error stating that the page cannot be displayed (hope this is the correct translation, since I am using a dutch version of IE 7.)  I am using DNN 4.4.1, and since this is working fine in firefox I think there is not a problem with the web.config or any other setting.

Anyone else have this problem or knows what might be wrong???

I hope to hear from you guys, would be happy with a workaround, or knowing that this is a known issue and would be fixed in the next release.

Tried to search the forum, but it got  so many hits and after clicking lots of them, I didn't find any similar problems, so excuse me if there were allready lots of others asking about this problem.

Just a little update,  I tried to acces the site through IE6 also and this works out fine.
And I tried to access the site in windows vista, with IE7, but this isn't working either, so is there any incompatibility issue with IE7 or did something went wrong with my installation????

Please respond

RadioMan:

Are you running DNN on your PC?  If that is the case, you may be running into a limitation in the number of connections you can have at the same time.  For instance if you connected with Firefox and then go to IE right away.  In any case, close Firefox and do F5 or Ctrl+F5 in IE.  If you want to make sure you clear all connections, close ALL your browser windows (both IE and FF) and run IISReset.

If DNN is running on an external server/domain, add the domain to your trusted sites in IE.

Your situation is kind of strange.  Let us know how it goes.

Carlos

How is your site set up?  Is it on a public server or on your local machine?
Do you have any problems with other DNN sites when using IE7?
What error are you seeing?
If its a public server can you give us the address that way we can see if others are having the same problem.
Generally IE7 will work with DNN.

It's on a public server.... godaddy (yes I know, not the best one around, but I have other sites running dnn without any problems, even one directly in the so called root)
I am not having problems with other dnn sites accessing it in IE7, but I think it's strange that this site is not working, even when it's made through godaddy's method (Hosting Metropolis)
I can give you the adress, but it's just meant to become a family site, so not that interesting.
here is the adress:  http://famkuijpers.info/DNN   you can also check another site of mine which I manually setup, http://www.tijdmachine.org  they are both running on godaddy and the last one directly from the root, don´t believe it´s the root, because when accessed through ftp, the root is even a level higher.
I get the feeling that it´s getting a timeout in some kind of way, but it´s still strange that other browsers besides IE7 don´t have this problem.
Realy hope you can help me.
