I've just installed DNN 4.5 (4.05) successfully, but when logged in as Superuser none of the action menu dropdowns appear; is this the intended behaviour?  Logged in as Administrator they appear as normal.

make sure, that the display mode is set to edit, not view (at the top of the control panel)

Actually after reviewing this....

One thing I don't like about the new functionality is that if I can see the control panel I would expect to be able to edit etc without worrying about the mode setting (in other words the mode setting should always be set to edit).

When the control panel is hidden then I would expect to be given an option to view/edit, and that value to persist/revert back to edit (toggle) when hiding/showing the control panel.

Does that make sense?

Enhancement for gemini perhaps?

Makes sense to me, but then you should get rid of the Mode setting all together and have it be driven by the CP showing or not.

Otherwise, what are you going to do when someone clicks on Edit and the control panel is hidden?  Show the Control Panel?
