I got .5M Vendors loaded at www.Quotes4.biz  DNN Ver 0.01.01 with Access copy & paste but need something faster to get the data in an Access table to the Web SQL2000 Vendors table..

Access does something in memory and hangs if the copy paste is to large & same with import.

Enterprise Mgr will not allow import from ASCII file with null vendors.ID has message "Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'VendorId', table 'mytableName.Vendors'; column does no allow nulls.  Insert fails.

Anyone have a suggestion?

There are other ways to get this table into your database using dts.  What I am unclear on is why are you getting a null vendorid?  You should be able to insert the vendor, then insert the affiliate record based on the identity (id) returned on the inserting of the vender. 

My major concern would be what happens after you have all those records in.  I was looking at the tables and sprocs and I seriously doubt this is tuned for a number of vendors this high.

I have my own program & SQL that list & allows for selections filter of records see http://www.quotes4.biz/Directory/tabid/53/Default.aspx  which seems to be down at the moment

the ascii file that I have exported & trying to import is as follows:

"VendorName","Street","City","Region","Country","PostalCode","Telephone","PortalId","Fax","Email","Website","CreatedByUser","Unit","LastName","Cell"
