Hi,

I'm in the process of installing DNN on a remote server. I've uploaded all the files and made the modifications to the web.config file recommended in the manual.

When I try to access the website for the  configuration I get the following error message;

Access to the path "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\d108219b\95e7b12a" is denied.

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

It looks to me that I'm running a process with the wrong user credentials or my hosting provider hasn't got his .asp setup right. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Kind regards,
Sjef Kruiper

if You used the Dcpromo.exe tool to promote the member server to a domain controller, then the permissions for IIS has been scrambled. try this

start > run

type 'cmd'

type 'cd C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322'

type aspnet_regiis -i

exit and it should work again, it did the trick for me.

With Regards,

Remko
