I'm having a problem doing a clean install.

The wizard seems to get into an endless loop when beginning the database install:

Run Database Installation Scripts

The installation of the database scripts should have started when this page loaded. The Next button will be disabled until the Installation of the Scripts is complete.

Completed Installing Database Scripts

Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...undefined...Success
Installation of Database Complete

---------

The "Next" box then is active.  When clicked, it repeats this step.  And again, and again, and again ...

What now?

I found that if I

1 - upload the 'Install' version folder to the virtual directry where the site is supposed to reside

2 - edit the web.config file to point to my database (in TWO places)

3 - browse to the url of my site

4 - On the install page, choose the 'Bypass installation wizard' and let it run, it worksfor me

Hope that helps

Thanks.

I was actually doing through the Wizard intentionally to see if/how it worked.  I believe that I had some ownership/permission issues with the database.  I changed those, ran the Wizard again, and all is well.

I think that the Wizard does have a problem, though, because it thought it succeeded, but it didn't!

Yes, I treid to use the wizrd a couple of times with no luck. I do know however, that there exists a video tutorial at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/BlogsDotNetNuke/tabid/825/EntryID/1329/Default.aspx

I just haven't taken the time to view it.

Good luck!
