The strange part is that everyday when i start my pc and navigate to my site it takes forever. Some thimes it gives some errors and somethimes it just tells me that there it nothing to be installed. It comes up with the Dotnetnuke Upgrade window. Any idea whats going on ? Have i installed it wrong ? I opened the solution in Visual Studio 2005 and did what it sad in the welcome screen.

I am running on a SQL Express 2005 server and on IIS5.1 (Windows XP SP2)

Best Regards

Can you compile in Debug mode and place the debug files (*.pdb) in the /bin.  Then the error message will include the line-number that is causing the error, which might help us track down the problem.

I would like to help and build the solution and get the pdb files but i cannot build the solution. I have tried to build in VS.NET2005 FINAL VERSION the start kit and the source kit but without luck. I get allot of errors. Am i doing something wrong ?

PS. I know now that this problem is more serious. I have tried on a different machine with Windows 2000 with SQL server 2000. I get same errors ocassionally. For me it's useless since i can't release it before i know it's stable.

I don't know if its related, but I did see an issue with the upgrade of DNN4 where it would always take you to the Install page (with "Nothing to do") unless you added an "InstallDate" key in the APPSETTINGS section of the web.config and gave it a date that was before the current date.

Always glad to help!
