Hi Folks,

I've just upgraded from 4.5.1 to 4.5.2 but now I can't login to the sit!.  Clicking on the login link goes to the login page, but the login module doesn't appear!  How can I get around this?    (one of my  html modules has also become 'invisible' on another page)

All help greatly appreciated.

Did you make sure you copied the Machine key information in your web.config? Just a thought :)

If you are using the Login Account module.....

I figure out that you need to remove the login account module. In order to delete the module...Go to the sql and delete the module

update modules set IsDeleted=1 where ModuleId=xxx (figure out what is the module ID)...

Then you need to clear the cache, and you you will be able to logon using the regular way. You can NOT delete the module using you host/admin account because the sistem 'keep-waiting-forever"

Cheers,

Alfonso

I had the same problem.

I was set with the user login module throughout the site. Every page with this module would not load (time out with error on FIrefox and wait forever on IE) when I tried to log in as admin or host. Loging in as a regular user and anonymous user worked just fine.

After a failed log in I had to clear my cookies or the browser was trying to log me in admin or host and send me back into the lock.

My suspission is that the login module is broken where it shows the current  user login information.

My work arround was to go directly to the database and remove all User Login modules from the site (I was going to do it anyways)...

Yes, it appears the account login module is broken. This is a pretty significant issue for us as we use this aloong with some links and banner advertising on several sites during login.

Anyone know of a fix?
