I have followed the traditional upgrade steps:

  • Rename current web.config to web.backup.resources
  • Rename release.config to web.config
  • Edit web.config Sql connectionstrings and machine key values

After the upgrade script runs succesfully I click the link to access the portal and it loads the homepage. When I attempt to login it just hangs and never logs in to the website.

Has anyone seen this behavior?

Thanks,

Sean

You must have a login module on the home page.

I should reword that.  If you have a login module on the home page, then there is a bug that causes a continuous redirect.  After logging in, try navigating to a different page even though it is hanging.
