Hi everyone,

I successfully installed DNN 4.3.5 exactly the same way as shown in the screencast from dnnwiki.net. But now, if I click on Login or Register on the startpage I get a 404 Error. I already checked out what I read here in this forum. It's ASP.NET 2.0. I can't understand what's going wrong.

Thank you for help.

No immediate idea unfortunately. What is the URL of the page it is looking for when you click either link?

Are you using a different URL than what you originally used to install the site: e.g., http://localhost/default.aspx vs http://www.mysite.com/default.aspx vs http://111.111.111.111/default.aspx? If so you need to go to Site Settings at the very bottom and add all those various potential URL's (with the http:// but not the default.aspx) leading into your site under Portal Aliases.

Usually this is an ASP.NET 2.0 problem as you mentioned. A couple of things to try is reregistering your asp.net installation with aspnet_regiis command or reinstalling framework 2.0. Check out this link: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/62/threadid/101598/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Good luck,

Mike
