I tried that but I got an error that the version is not compatible with DNN 453 and that this module is for DNN 03.20.09

this is the error I get when trying to install the module:

OK - the version #03.20.09 is the version for the forum module. What happened is you downloaded the wrong module code getting the source code instead of the install code. The source code has to be compiled before it can be used and doesn't contain the dlls necessary for the code to execute. If you look a little closer at the download page under Module:: Forums you will see the version #03.20.09 with one line followed by Install and the second by Source. Then followed by the date available for download, the download icon and finally the DNN version # required for install (3.03.05 / 4.03.05).

All you have to do is download the Install files and install.

Good luck,

Mike

How did I miss this??

anyway now I get an error after I install a new forum:

A critical error has occurred.
Keyword not supported: 'whsql-v21.prod.mesa1.secureserver.net;database'

when I try editing the module, I get this:

Error: Module is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.Exceptions.ProcessModuleLoadException(PortalModuleBase ctrlModule, Exception exc) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.ModuleSettings.LoadSettings() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Modules.ModuleSettingsPage.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

do you think it may be because I recently tryed to install a language pack?

thanks a lot Mike. appreciate your help.
