Hi,

I just installed DotNetNuke with all default options, but when I run it I have a problem with SQL server. I get the following message:

"An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)"

In addition I see couple place holders for pictures in that Error web page.

Could anybody suggest me what should setup to make it work?

That you,

SMICHALEV

It appears that the system is not able to connect to the database via SQL Server login methods.

You will want to make sure that in the Surface Area Configuration options in SQL Server that you allow external connections.

Also, make sure that you have both connection strings set to the same value.  FOr a bit more information I do have an installation guide on my blog (http://www.mitchelsellers.com)
