I installed a new clean installation of DNN, walked through the custom wizards to create accounts and the system finished successfully with no errors.

Opening the site, it appears as expected.

Clicking the Login button, I received the page missing error for this URL

http://www.region.za.net/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fDefault.aspx%3ftabid%3d36

I suspect that DNN is supposed to translate the URL into a page entry but it fails to do so.

How do I fix this?

If you use http://www.region.za.net/?ctl=login you can get to your login page. I would then go to Site Settings->Advanced Settings and verify your Login Page is set correctly.

The problem also happens if I click any link. When attempting login, I am prompted to change the password, then this error occurs again as it tries to browse to  http://www.region.za.net/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx

Seems that any page request fails. Is there a way of changing the URLs generated in the config.sys or someone else? I tried rebiulding the database and the problem still occurs, so seems to be in the aspx pages. Is it possible that it is a configuration issue with the iis server hosting the site?

Maybe the install package didn't extract everything correctly or didn't install correctly. I would try extracting and installing it again, against a new db. That doesn't take too long and may fix the problem.

I've had the same problem as above, and have reinstalled DNN and database numerous times. Anybody have any other ideas as to what might be going wrong?
