Whereabouts can I find the installer status log that shows up during the install?  I've searched the install directory as thoroughly as possible to see where the info is stored but with no luck.  I ask because it is a common occurence in some hosting environments that a failed install be rolled back.  I'm worried that even though all the prepatory install steps may be followed religously an unexpected error may occur during the call to install.aspx and an elusive log will not allow it's detection.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

only database scripts are logged inside the /providers/dataproviders/sqldataprovider directory. Other issues may be written to DotNetNuke eventlog.

the only thing that gets logged during installation of the core is sqldataprovider script errors. You can read those through host> host settings, at the bottom of the page you can select to read the log for each script version that has been executed.

The log of modules being installed is persisted as host alert in the dnn eventlog

Allow me to be a little more specefic.  Which file under Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider contains the sqldataprovider script errors?  Where exactly can I find the dnn event log in the backend (i'm looking for a tangible file in the installation package)?  My vantage point is completely from the backend.  Is it possible to check for installation errors without actually  jumping into the application and taking a look around (e.g host> host settings)?
