Dear folks, Please help me!!!

I have installed sucessfully a DNN 4.6.2 Portal in the root folder of my Web Site (IIS6, W2003). But when I tryed to run some previous developed ASP.net 1.1 Web Applications (virtual directories, AppPool isolated, ASP.net 1.1 configured) in sub-folders, I obtain a configuration errors.

Actually I understand that the problem raises because the root web.config (DNN Web.config, FW 2.0) is automatically inherited to the sub applications and sub folders (FW 1.1), and FW 1.1 does not recognize my inherited DNN configurations.

I tried for many methods to stop inheritance or to hide FW 2.0 specific configurations. Some of those methods includes using <location...> tag, <remove> and <clear> tags, rewrite and insert configurations in FW 1.1 machine.config, and so on.

The only way that I get sub-applications run is by configuring it in new website's (other port or http alias) and pointing it by sub-domains, but in Production Enviroment this is not an option.

My question is, Exists somebody that have sucessfully installed a Sub-Aplication developed with Asp.net 1.1, when the root website is a DNN 4.6.2 / 4.7 / 4.x., and how?

Thanks a lot,

Andres Bastidas

make sure, physical folder of sub app does not reside inside the physical folders of DNN.
