i checked and defult.aspx is there and in the the file is in the folder. when i set up the virtual and named it DNN so when i go to http://localhost/DNN it still says the page could not be found. but when i go to http://localhost it comes up with page under construction. so IIS is working just not letting me run the /DNN page

okay i got it up and running now i found a solution but now once again i have another question. before i installed this DNN i had one installed before and then it crashed. so now after i reinstalled i login into admin account and it brings up the top the control console but i noticed in the middle it no longer has the install new module link. the first install had that and made it easy to install new modules. what happed to that link all i have now is module, title, visibility, pane, insert, alight and then the ADD button but no install new mod link at the bottom. any body know whats going on?

Hi - I've been having the same issue and my solution is as follows.  I foolishly installed .net framework before I installed IIS,  a reinstallation of .net seems to have fixed it.

Hope this helps.
