Hi,

Why are these forums now so bad :-O. I used to use these some time back and responses were fast and even helpful. That may be when they were ASP hosted ??.

Now - the forum itself is broken, my recent post 'Permissions error' shows 4 replies, there are ONLY 3 and ONLY 2 of these actually get shown (I know because my resolution was the latest and its not displayed.

Posts take forever to become visible, and no-one from DNN appears to answer - well not my questions anyway :-O.

I was forced to call in assistance from an outside Forum and was provided with first-rate assistance from Mitchel Sellers - who I see also posts answers to people.

I am very disappointed by this apparent lack of support - I know that DNN is a 'free' product but its support used to be excellent - now - not so :-((.

Regards

Graham

The other core team members and I are trying to do our best, unfortunately 2 of the forum moderation queues had been broken over the past days due to offending posts. The forums module has been completely rewritten for this version and regardless of intensive beta testing, there are showing up a number of issues, the team still needs to fix - including the answer count, page count etc. I expect, this will happen fo the next version, but I know, that the team is very busy atm.

I also have a support forum here:
http://www.snapsis.com/DotNetNuke-Support-Forums.aspx

The reason I started it is because It's just easier than having to wait for posts to be moderated, then come to the DotNetNuke site only to find that I am no longer logged in and then by the time I try to answer a question I have lost the original thread.  Which is exactly what happenend on this visit.

I know that the DNN team is working to get the forum fixed, but I almost think it needs to be a higher priority.  Like John I run my own forum (http://www.mitchelsellers.com) and due to the recent DNN issues many people have gone to posting to my forum first to get a response, and e-mail notifications.

I don't mind this activity at all as it boosts traffic for my site and more than likely since I post a lot here I would respond to them if it was asked here.  I think the main issue is the IMAGE that the current DotNetNuke sites performance displays to new and prospective users of DotNetNuke.

I know that the module team is busy, but an honest idea of when we might see some fixes to the biggest issues of all would be greatly appreciated....
