I am trying to install DNN 4.07 and when I get to the step where the actual DB install scripts start to install, I get the following error:

Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...FAILURE null - null

The little progress indicator just keeps progressing but nothing happens. I am using sql server 2005, not as DB Owner. This is the second install I have dome with this hosting provider and I did not have this problem with the first install. Please help.

thanks and Merry Christmas

Nick

Delete the database and recreate.  Make the user dbowner that you want to use with the web site and rerun the install.  It is possilbe that the hoster installed a SQL patch that makes it so the DNN install does now work unless the user is dbowner.

I have the same problem described here, and since I AM the hoster, this does not seem to apply in my case....Has there been any new insight into this error?
