I'm working with my ISP to get DNN running on their machine.  I forwarded the install instructions from the DNN site, and apparently they got it to install, logged in and all.  However, we're obviously missing a step somewhere since when we (or they) try to access it externally using an IP address (e.g. http://IP_Address_Here/dotnetnuke) it tries to send us to http://localhost/dotnetnuke and says the page cannot be found.  Any thoughts on what we might be missing?

Thanks

A portal alias has to be added to the portal for the external address. This can either be done in the PortalAlias table in the database or on the server (localhost) under Host->Portals and edit the portal and going to the bottom of the screen to add an HttpAlias.

OK, that seems to get us part of the way.  However, when he put in the IP address under the alias and tried to access it that way, he gets a DNS error.  So, it's up and running great other than noone else can see it.

If you now have a domain name pointed to the site, you will need to add an ailas for that address as well!

He had me RDP in and I configured the alias myself.  Now it works.  (Not sure why it didn't in the first place.)
