HI, I have a Windows vista Ultimate and and Interl Core 2 Duo cpu. I tried to install SQL Server 2005 on it but it never gave me any permission for installing server components. also after applying sp2 the problem remains.

I do not know now how to build a new database for DNN?

can I install DNN with ACCESS database?

It probably installed it as SQL Express as it detected that your system wasn't a server. In any case, you could try the SQLServer Management Studio Express and see if that works for you. It's what I use on my development systems.
