hello, i am running xp profesional, iis 5 and i am trying to install dotnetnuke 4.8 but when i have to add ASPNET (instead of network service), i simply can't find it
i did all the steps in iis for the virtual directory and create the database in sql server

You sure you don't want to use NETWORK SERVICE? The ASPNET account was used for the .NET Framework versions 1.0 and 1.1. With the release of .NET 2 the NETWORK SERVICE account was used instead.

i dont have a problem with that but everyone says to use aspnet(which i found eventually) anyways if you are certain i will use networkservice. Thanks a lot...

the "ASPNET" user is used on WindowsXP, Windows Server 2003 uses "Network Service" by default.

The ASPNET user account is hidden, simply type it in.  Assuming you installed the ASP.NET framework and IIS of course...  :)
