I am looking for anyone that has any thoughts about this particular error that prevents me from accessing the Site Settings....As a complete newbie to the DNN project, I am having trouble determining what the issue is and how to correct it. After a maddening two weeks scouring forums and searching Google I have given up trying to figure it out for myself and am looking for assistance.

Brief Error:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: d:\hosting\member\bdsegner\site1\Admin\Portal\SiteSettings.ascx.vb(374): error BC30456: 'Available' is not a member of 'ASP.controls_duallistcontrol_ascx'. ---> System.Web.HttpCompileException: d:\hosting\member\bdsegner\site1\Admin\Portal\SiteSettings.ascx.vb(374): error BC30456: 'Available' is not a member of 'ASP.controls_duallistcontrol_ascx'. at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.CompileWebFile(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) ---

Brent,

I have the same error. I'm using version 4.8.4 in the root of a GoDaddy site. I would also appreciate any help anyone could give.

Try making sure the Enabled flat is checked for the default language pack: On the Admin menu select Languages then Edit Language and check the Enabled flag. There should also be a language selected on the Languages page. That fixed the issue for me but I am still having issues with trying to link to PayPal. The subscribe button is not working (acts like a back button instead of a link). Anyone seen this or know how to fix it?
